Asif Zardari lashes out at Nawaz Sharif in PPP Mardan Jalsa

MARDAN: Pakistan People's Party Co Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has harshly criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Panama Papers Case decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Monday that none of the five Supreme Court (SC) judges had given Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a ‘clean chit’ in the Panamagate case verdict.

Chanting “Go Nawaz Go” during a party rally in Mardan, the PPP leader said, “The issue is; Miansahab has never read a book. The book which has been referred to by one of the honourable judges, if they read that book, then they would understand what those judges are saying about them.”

We will throw Nawaz out just as we sent Musharraf packing: Zardari

“That is the judgment of the senior most judge who will soon become the chief justice,” he said, adding none of the five judges declared that the prime minister was innocent. What kind of a decision is it, being celebrated by both of the parties in the case.”

Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan, Zardari said a ‘Kaptaan’ made tall claims but he did not have any Pashtoon orientation. “This man is four years older than me. How can he represent the youth?” the PPP co-chairman asked. Imran, he added, does not even speak Pashto.
