Asif Zardari ditches Nawaz Sharif after Panama JIT report

ISLAMABAD: The Panama case Joint Investigation Team report has raised alarm bells for the ruling family and Sharif family throne is in serious trouble. The political temperature in the country has risen to the unprecedented levels as demand for resignation of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been raised from every corner.

Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has instructed party s chairman Bilawal Bhutto to kick off countrywide movement for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The decision has been taken after emergence of Panamagate joint investigation team’s (JIT) report which makes damaging observations about the legitimacy of the wealth of premier and his family.

Sources privy to PPP told our correspondent that drive would be initiated from PML-N’s stronghold Punjab while sit-ins and rallies would be carried out to exert pressure on the ruling party.

Zardari has further instructed Bilawal to table resolutions in all provincial assemblies seeking premier’s resignation.

Meanwhile, Bilawal is going to chair sitting of PPP’s Central Executive Committee in Islamabad today where PPP’s top brass would contemplate on various aspects of protest movement and would take final decision.
