Army Chief to brief Senate on security tomorrow

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will take the Senate Committee of the Whole into confidence on the security situation tomorrow.
According to notification issued by Senate Secretariat, Gen Bajwa will brief the entire House at 10 a.m. at the Parliament House on the emerging national security paradigm for Pakistan with respect to his recent visits and developments.
Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza will accompany the COAS in the briefing.
The in-camera meeting of the committee of the Whole House was constituted on the motion moved by Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq to prepare policy guidelines in the light of emerging regional realities and the role of United States.
