APHC condemns mysterious killings in Pulwama

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference Syed Ali Gilani and the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressing deep concern over mysterious killings in south Kashmir's Pulwama district have said that there is no justification for these killings.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, "It is unfair and against humanity to kill a person for his specific ideology or affiliations." He added that the mysterious killings were against the teachings of Islam, KMS reported.

The Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet forum in a statement also denounced the killing of Advocate Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan by unidentified men in Pinjoora Shopian.

Meanwhile, Kashmir High Court Bar Association in a statement said that the slain Pinjoora advocate was not a political activist. It said that he was a supporter of the Kashmir cause and through his posts he had requested the people to be careful, so that they are not deceived by any pro-India politician.

Advocate Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan was killed by unidentified gunmen on Sunday at Pinjoora in Shopian when he was coming back from a mosque after Isha prayers. (APP)
