Another youth succumbs, death toll rises to 73 in IOK by Indian Troops

ISLAMABAD: (APP) A youth identified as Suhail Ahmad Wani succumbed to his injures, Saturday, raising the death toll in the ongoing Intifada in Inidan occupied Kashmir to 73.
According to KMS, Suhail Ahmad Wani was injured in the firing of Indian police on peaceful a protesters in Lethpora area of Pulwama on August 2.
He was hit by a bullet in the head and was undergoing treatment at the Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar.
He succumbed to his injuries early this morning.
With the death of Suhail Wani, the toll in the ongoing Kashmir Intifada has risen to 73. The intifada was triggered by the extra-judicial killing of the top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, Burhan Wani, on July 8, this year.
Besides killing of 73 people, over 7,000 people have been injured so far due to the firing of pellets, bullets and teargas shells by Indian troops and police personnel on peaceful protesters across the Kashmir Valley
Meanwhile, the puppet authorities continue to impose curfew and other restrictions for the 36th consecutive day, today, across the territory to prevent people from conducting Referendum March to Srinagar's Lal Chowk.
Call for the march has been jointly given by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, as part of programmes to protest against the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces' personnel in the Valley.
Almost all Hurriyet leaders have been put under house arrest or behind the bars to prevent them from leading the march. All roads leading to the Lal Chowk have been sealed while mobile and internet services remain suspended in the territory.
It is to mention here that more than 250 persons including women, girls and children were injured due to the firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by Indian police and troops on the demonstrators across the occupied territory, yesterday.
