Afghanistan should not provoke its citizens against Pakistan: Ex. Ambassador

ISLAMABAD (APP): Former Ambassador Masood Ahmmad Khan on Sunday said Pakistan always remained well-wisher of Afghanistan and wanted to see it a peaceful, developed and prosperous country.
The Afghan government, he said, should not provoke its people against Pakistan, which was its neighbour and had brotherly relations with it.
Afghanistan should better resolve issues, if any, with Pakistan through dialogue and no one had the right to sabotage the negotiation process, he said while talking to PTV.
Masood Khan said Pakistan desired to maintain good relations with all its neighbouring countries. It did not want confrontation with anyone, he added.
Replying to a question about Daesh, he said the terrorist organization was a great threat for the entire region as it was taking roots in Afghanistan. All the South Asian countries should get united to counter the menace, he added.
He said Daesh, Arabic acronym for Islamic State, was more extremist than Al-qaida having different objectives.
Daesh, he said, had not yet been reportedly able to establish its footprints in Pakistan. However, no laxity should be shown by the authorities concerned in stopping the Daesh to set it roots here, he added.
Daesh, he said, was hitting targets in Western countries, turning itself into an international threat from regional one.
Replying to another query, he said Pakistan had played a vital role in destroying the network of Al-qaida terrorists not only in the country but also in the whole region.
To a question about the Occupied Kashmir, he said India was perpetrating worst brutalities and using lethal weapons against innocent protesting people in the valley and the international community should take notice and play their role to resolve the issue as per aspirations of Kashmiris.
Masood Khan stressed that the United Nations should also get its resolutions implemented, which were adopted by the Security Council on the desire of Indian leadership giving the right of self-determination to the Kashmiris.
