Afghan Refugees Repatriation gaining momentum  

HARIPUR: (APP) Return of registered refugees and undocumented Afghan nationals to their homeland has witnessed slight increase after Eid ul Azha.

Hundreds of families are packing their belongings those were residing in the different areas of district Haripur.

Talking to media Afghan refugees said that they all are worried about the checking mechanism of Afghan nationals which is very strict and some time uncomfortable.

"Although we have concerns over the short time span through which only few people can move a day and a long queues of refugees are waiting for their turn, but still we are ready" they added.

Departing Afghan refugees are mostly from district Haripur while in district Abbottabad only few has been seen.

After recent pressure from government on Afghan refugees and restriction on business in Khyber Phaktoonkhawa, police adhering the instructions to restrict Afghan refugees in the camps and started search operation in the residential areas in all six districts of Hazara region.
