Afghan Ambassador holds important meeting with Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: (APP) Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that restoration of durable peace was need of both Pakistan and Afghanistan, adding that the two counties would have to make joint efforts to get goals of restoration of peace and economic development.

He said this while talking to Afghanistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Omar Zakhil Wal who called on him at Governor House Quetta, here on Monday.

The Governor Balochistan said: "Pakistan and Afghanistan are neighboring countries who could get goals of progress and prosperity and restoration of durable peace through mutual cooperation and joint efforts. South Asia will become economic hub after completion of China-Pak Economic Corridor."

Governor Achakzai said that expansion of CPEC from Pakistan to Afghanistan and Central Asian states would strengthen economic and cultural relations between those countries.

He emphasized the need to take concrete steps for overcoming bloodshed and war being reported in Afghanistan for decades.

The Afghan Ambassador told Governor Achakzai that presently, 0.1 million Pakistani laborers had been working in Afghanistan to earn their livelihood.

"Afghanistan is a big market for Pakistani products," he said adding "Promotion of economic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan will also help in controlling terrorism."

He expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the killings of lawyers, journalists and common people in Quetta civil hospital suicide blast.
