PSL 2018 to have 6 regional teams

MIRPUR (AJK): (APP) Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s team would be included in the next Pakistan Super League (PSL) with prime focus to encourage and promote cricket, besides other games, in Azad Kashmir.
The AJK minister for Sports, Youth and Culture Ch. Muhammad Saeed said speaking as Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony on the eve of the annual sports in Mirpur University of Science & Technology here Tuesday.
Vice Chancellor MUST Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman and Director Sports MUST Abid Hussain also addressed the ceremony largely attended by the students, faculty members, parents and the city elite.
He said that AJK has already has a world class cricket stadium in Mirpur for hosting local, regional, national and international matches. He added that similar cricket stadiums would be constructed in other parts of AJK under an integrated proposed plan primarily aimed at encouraging sports.
