7 Karachi Police officials on Polio workers security gunned down in Orange Town 









KARACHI: Seven Police Official, deployed on the security of Polio workers were gunned down by terrorists in two different act of terror in Bagla Bazar area and Sector No. 15 Orangi Town here at Wednesday.

 

As per details, Sindh IG AD Khawaja said that the attackers have been identified by Police and soon they would be taken to their logical end. 

 

According to police, policemen were performing their duties with polio workers when they were gunned down. 8 terrorists, riding on bike opened fired on three policemen in Orangi Town in their first attack and they died on the spot however, no polio workers were injured in this attack.

 

Later, terrorists opened fire on police van, near Pakistan Bazar Police Station and managed to escape the scene, leaving four policemen dead after that polio drive was stopped in District Gharbi.

 

The dead policemen were identified as Ghulam Rasul, Ghazi Khan, Daim ul Din, Muhammad Ismail, Rustam, Gul Khan and Wazir. Forensic teams visited the scene to collect evidences while police started search operation to arrest the culprits.

 

On the other hand IG Sindh said that attackers have been identified and Rs. 50 lakh would be given to those as reward who help police in arrest of accused. Martyrs policemen families would be given 20 lakh each as financial assistance.

 

President Mamnoon, PM Nawaz and other leaders expressed their grief over the loss of lives of Policemen and offered condolence with their families.
