20 Sout-ul-Quran Channels to be established across Pakistan

Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Khurshid Ahmad Malik has said that the government has provided resources to establish more 20 channels of Sout-ul-Quran, which will be established at various district headquarters.

He was addressing the anchors, broadcasters and staff members at Broadcasting House Multan on Saturday.

He said that Sout-ul- Quran channel will be established very soon at Multan.

The Director General said main focus should be on bringing further improvement in the contents of the programs and news. He also emphasized the need for maximum resource sharing among different wings of the national broadcaster.

He said that he has paid special attention to improve the efficiency of the transmitters and now the signal of Radio Pakistan is available in the most parts of the country.

Khurshid Ahmad Malik said that Drama and Documentary festivals will be arranged at local, regional and National level in context with the revival of drama and documentary.

He said that quality folk music will be produced and preserved adding that young talent in singing and composition will be further encouraged.

He said that every effort is being made to make this organization more viable and attractive for the listeners. He said that artists will be given respect and encouragement on their good contributions.

On the Occasion, the Director General inaugurated the newly renovated recording studio at PBC Multan which has been re-equipped with the latest machinery within own resources of the station.
