Minister for Railway Khawaja Saad Rafique has said Pakistan Railways is entering a new era of development.

Presiding over a high level meeting at the railways headquarters in Lahore on Monday, he advised all the officers and employees to be well-prepared so as to meet challenges of new era.
The minister said that a consignment of new American locomotives is reaching Karachi this month, which will tremendously enhance performance of the department.

He said that the project of shipment of coal for the Sahiwal Coal Project is going to start soon which could be game changers for the Pakistan railways.
