59 Indian fishermen arrested due to violation of coastal area today
KARACHI: 59 Indian fishermen have been arrested by Pakistan Maritime Security near Sir Creek here at today (Thursday) over the violation of coastal area.

 

As per details, the arrested fishermen were fishing illegally into Pakistan’s territorial waters when they were arrested by Pakistan Maritime Authorities.

 

10 boats of arrested fishermen have also been seized by Pakistan Maritime Security and they are being shifted to Karachi for legal action against them.

 

On the other hand, Indian National Fish Worker Forum Secretary Munesh Lodhrai said that the arrested fishermen belong to Dewbhomi, district of Indian Gujrat.

 

It is also worthy to mention here that both countries frequently carry out such arrests due to poorly defined maritime border in Arabian Sea.
