Gadani Shipyard Tragedy Enquiry Report

ISLAMABAD: The investigation report on Gadani tragedy has been submitted to the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The report was submitted by a high-level committee constituted under the directions of Prime Minister to probe the incident.
The committee said there were insufficient safeguards for the workers of Gadani and stressed on taking practical measures for security of the workers.
It also recommended that a Gadani Ship Recycling Board should be constituted under the supervision of Chief Secretary Balochistan.
Moreover it also recommended disciplinary action against the authorities involved in sheer negligence and compensation for the victims and families of the Gadani tragedy.
