Can Sharifs get bail today from IHC?

ISLAMABAD – A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petitions of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar on July 31.
The bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooq and Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the petitions regarding suspension of their sentences in the Avenfield reference.
The NAB has formed a legal team headed by Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi to assist the court.
Khawaja Haris, counsel for Nawaz Sharif, will present arguments in court. In addition, Amjad Pervaiz, the counsel for Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar, will also present arguments.
On the other hand, the court will also hear Nawaz Sharif’s plea for transferring the Al-Azizia and Flagship references to another court.
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar, in the petitions, have appealed to court to suspend their sentences and release them on bail.
