Shahid Khaqan Abbasi nomination challenged in SC

ISLAMABAD: The nomination papers of the PML-N candidate for the slot of PM has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The petitioner has submitted a plea against the selection of Abbasi to Supreme Court Lahore Registry taking the stance that cases are registered in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and National Accountability Bureau against the PML-N’s candidate.
The applicant added that nomination of an accused person is illegal; therefore, the nomination of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should be declared null and void.
It may be mentioned here that nomination for the seat of prime minister will be submitted to National Assembly Secretariat today.
