Syria reopens Nassib border crossing with Jordan

Syrian has reopened the Nassib border crossing with Jordan after three years.

The Nassib crossing was captured by rebels in 2015, cutting a major transit route for hundreds of trucks a day transporting goods between Turkey and the Gulf, and Lebanon and the Gulf.

Meanwhile, Jordan denied an announcement by Syria that Nassib border crossing between two countries had reopened.

In a statement, a government spokeswoman said Jaber Nassib crossing is still closed. It has not reopened yet for movement of goods and passengers.

Earlier, Syria aanounced that Nassib border crossing with Jordan has been reopened after three years.
