Overseas Pakistanis urged to contribute to Dam Fund

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information Faisal Javed has urged overseas Pakistanis to contribute generously to Dam Fund.
Addressing Pakistani community in Brussels, he said in the absence of sufficient dams, 22 billion dollars worth of water is being wasted into the sea in Pakistan annually.
Faisal Javed said in addition to enhance water storage capacity, dams are also essential for power generation.
He also briefed the audience on various steps initiated by the PTI government for environmental protection and mitigating climate change.
