Pakistan women cricket team: Major changes announced

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday made major changes in the women’s national cricket team, which also included former captain Sana Mir’s sacking and the appointment of Bismah Maroof in her place as the new skipper.

The aftershocks of the women’s cricket team’s dismal performance in the recent world cup included the sacking of the team’s manager Ayesha Ashar, former captain Sana Mir and general manager of the women’s wing, Shamsa Hashmi.

As per details obtained, the team selection committee was also sent packing.

Ayesha Ashar has been appointed as the acting general manager of the women’s wing while Sana Mir on the other hand is available for selection as a cricketer in both formats of the game.
