PM Imran Khan reveals new names for the Election Commission of Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan reveals new names for the Election Commission of Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday recommended names for the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and other ECP members, GNN reported.

In a letter to Chairman Senate Sadiq Sinjrani and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, the premier recommended names for the appointment of the CEC and other ECP members.

PM Imran proposed names of Justice (retd) Sadiq Bhatti, Justice (retd) Noor-ul-haq Qureshi and Abdul Jabbar Qureshi for Sindh while for balochistan, the names of Dr Fayez Mohammad Kakar, Mir Naveed Jan Baloch and Amanullah Baloch were proposed.

Earlier today, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan recommending three names for the post of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president, in a letter to the premier, recommended the names of Nasir Mahmood Khosa, Jalil Abbas Jillani and Akhlaaq Ahmed Tarar for the post of CEC.

Shehbaz Sharif said, "In my opinion, these prominent personalities are fit and deserving of this position".
