Pakistan takes unprecedented steps against the proscribed groups across the country
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan says the Pakistani leadership's clear stance against extremism and its bold support for minorities' rights manifest the new and changing trends in the country.
In an interview, he said Pakistan has taken unprecedented steps against the proscribed entities and arrested individuals under specific and clear charges.
He said it would automatically lead to prosecution of the individuals who have been charged.
The Ambassador said Pakistan's internal security situation has improved and last year the lowest number of terrorist incidents were witnessed since last thirteen years.
