Former Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed faces yet another setback

Karachi: Quetta Gladiator's captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was unable to leave for the UAE on Sunday for remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six matches after he was denied clearance to travel to the country.

Reportedly, the former captain has been in quarantine at the hotel for the past seven days and was scheduled to leave for Abu Dhabi via a commercial flight this morning at 4:00 am.

Sarfaraz Ahmed expressed displeasure with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management over issues relating to his departure.

PCB has contacted the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for clearance of all people. The PCB is also considering alternative options for their early departure to the gulf country.

Sarfaraz and 10 others did not get clearance for the trip to Abu Dhabi. However, five people, including fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain, left Karachi for Abu Dhabi.

According to PCB sources, Sarfraz is likely to leave for Abu Dhabi tonight.
