Pakistan unveils squad for first World Cup match against West Indies, a big surprise omission

TRENT BRIDGE - Senior batsman Shoaib Malik has not been included in the 12-member squad chosen for the World Cup match against West Indies, sources informed private channel.

Pakistan will play West Indies at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in the second match of the World Cup at 2:30 pm (PST) on Friday.

Pakistan played England at this ground in the fourth ODI and scored 340/7, but lost by three wickets.

Fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Muhammad Hasnain are also among the players who are not chosen by the team management which includes the skipper and coach.

The 12 players who made in the selection are: Imam ul Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Muhammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed, Asif Ali, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan, Imad Waseem and Muhammad Aamir.
