Suicide blast in Afghanistan

KABUL - A member of provincial council of Kunar and a religious scholar were killed in a suicide bombing in the province on Friday, local officials confirmed.
Kunar governor spokesman Ghani Musamim said the explosion occurred in Watapor district at around 1:30pm in which Shah Wali Himmat, member of the provincial council, was killed.
He said the attacker targeted Himmat's and that a religious scholar was also killed in the explosion.
A security guard of Shah Wali Himmat was wounded in the attack, he said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
