BEIJING: *Pakistan responds over trade agreement between China and United States.*
Pakistan welcomed the agreement reached between the Chinese President Xi Jinping and his United States (US) counterpart, Donald Trump, at the 14th G20 summit in Osaka.
During the meeting, Xi and Trump clinched a deal to restart economic and trade consultations between their countries on the basis of equality and mutual respect. The US side also agreed that it will not add new tariffs on imports from China.
An official of the Pakistan Embassy here, while commenting on the agreement, said it is in line with the best expectations of international public opinion.
According to the official, entrepreneurs and investors throughout the world have heaved a sigh of relief, following the long-awaited agreement.
