Pakistan takes a position on Qatar Saudi Arabia row

ISLAMABAD  – Pakistan has decided to remain impartial in the Saudi-Qatar row during a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Foreign Office on Friday.

He was briefed on important foreign affairs by Advisor to the PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. Mr. Ishaq Dar, Minister for Finance and senior officials of the Foreign Office were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his resolve to continue support the Kashmiris struggling for their independence.

He expressed his disappointment over the complete silence in the US-India joint statement on the atrocities being committed by the Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris.

The prime minister also reiterated his priority for a peaceful neighbourhood and resolution of disputes through dialogues.
