UK councilors’ virtual conference slams India for aggravating plight of Kashmiris July 30, 2020

ISLAMABAD-The “Virtual Conference” of the United Kingdom Mayors, Deputy Mayors and Councilors was held to deliberate on COVID-19 and the ongoing year-long Humanitarian Crisis in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

The purpose of the conference was to apprise the international community of the devastating effects of COVID-19 on the lives of the besieged Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

In his remarks on the occasion, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK Mohammad Nafees Zakaria termed the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir catastrophic.

The participants of the Virtual Conference have called upon the UK Government to play its due role in ending the human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

The participants resolved to continue their unflinching support to the Kashmiris until they get their right to self-determination as promised to them by the UN in its Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
