Former CM KP Pervaiz Khattak vows to resign and quit PTI: Media report
*ISLAMABAD - The tug of war inside the PTI for the slot of Chief Minister KP has intensified.*
*The former KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has refused to become part of Imran Khan’s federal cabinet and told the PTI leadership that he wants to become the chief minister of the province once again.*
According to his family members, Khattak has told PM-elect Imran Khan that he would leave the party and quit politics if he is not made the CM of KP.
“As a CM, he will have to focus only on his province but as a federal minister he will have to look after the whole country,” said one of his close relatives, wishing not to be named.
The PTI leadership had reportedly offered Khattak the Interior Ministry in Imran Khan’s federal cabinet.
