LAHORE – Lahore High Court (LHC) judge Justice Farrukh Irfan, who was heading a three-member bench hearing petition seeking disqualification of former first lady, has on Wednesday refused to hear case citing personal reasons.
The candidate of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Faisal Mir for NA-120 by-polls had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court for her disqualification.
During the hearing, Justice Farrukh Irfan refused to be a part of the bench requested the acting Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Hameed Dar to form a new bench.
The new bench of the LHC would be announced soon.
