Imran Khan takes aim over Shahbaz Sharif in NAB
ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan has warned the NAB chairman that the PTI would soon file a case with the accountability body against Shahbaz Sharif. Imran Khan said he would take Shahbaz Sharif to NAB for being involved in corrupt practices in Multan infrastructure projects.
Addressing a rally in Chakwal, held in connection with the launch of PTI’s 2017 membership drive, Imran said NAB should get ready to sentence Shahbaz as it would not be able to get away with pardoning the Nawaz clan this time around.
Lashing out at NAB and its Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, the PTI chairman said the nation did not trust the accountability body.
The entire Pakistani nation would not forgive the NAB chairman for giving a clean chit to Asif Ali Zardari, he said alleging that corruption had increased instead of decreasing because of institutions like NAB.
Imran Khan said the NA-120 by-polls in Lahore would prove the nation stands with the Supreme Court’s decision and not the biggest dacoit. “The nation will have to choose between thieves and the Supreme Court,” added the PTI leader.
