Shahbaz Sharif’s wife and daughter may be arrested by NAB

Lahore: An accountability court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif's wife Nusrat Shahbaz and daughter Rabia Imran on Tuesday.

According to details, an accountability court conducted the hearing of money laundering reference against the family of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif.

While concluding the hearing, court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Shahbaz Sharif's wife and daughter.

As per court, Nusrat Shahbaz and Rabia Imran did not appear despite repeatedly summoned by the court.

The investigating officer informed court that the two has left the country, after which the judge ordered to arrest and produced them before the court.

The accountability court had earlier issued arrest warrants for Shahbaz Sharif's son Salman Shahbaz and son-in-law Haroon Yousaf, but no report was submitted by the Foreign Office today.

The court has also summoned the responsible officer from the Foreign Office at the next hearing along with the sought record.

On the other hand, the accountability court granted exemption from personal appearance to ​​Shahbaz Sharif's daughter Javeria Ali and adjourned the hearing till October 05.

Earlier today, an accountability Court granted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) a 14-day physical remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif for interrogation.
