27 lawbreakers including eight gamblers arrested

RAWALPINDI, (APP): Police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 27 lawbreakers including eight gamblers besides recovering 1660 grams charras, one bottle of liquor and four pistols 30 bore with 36 rounds from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Gungmandi and Wah Cantt police netted Amjad, Azhar, Ahmed, Hamza, Aneel, Arif and Khurram for having 260, 300, 200, 300, 250, 150 and 200 grams charras respectively. Rawat police held Yasir and recovered a liquor bottle from his possession.
Other accused were sent behind the bars for possessing illegal weapons.
Saddar Baroni police nabbed Waheed and Mahboob who were violators of 14 Foreign Act. Similarly, Pirwadhai police rounded up Adeel, Farooq, Ghulam and Umar, violators of renting rules.
Meanwhile, Waris Khan police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid and held Aurangzaib, Tanveer, Faizan, Sheraz, Fazal, Zaheer, Ameen and Mohsin, eight gamblers and recovered Rs29300 cash stake money and seven mobile phones from their possession.
