Pakistan's Liquid foreign reserves status: SBP

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$23,418.0 million on September 23, 2016, the State Bank of Pakistan said.

Giving the break-up of the foreign reserves position, a statement of the Central Bank said that Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at US$ 18,395.1 million while Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were US$ 5,022.9 million.

The SBP said that during the week ending September 23,2016 SBP's Liquid
FX Reserves increased by US$738 million to US$18,395 million, compared to US$17,657 million in the previous week.
The bank attributed this increase to Government of Pakistan's inflow of US$700 million from China Development Bank.
