CJP chairs roll signing Ceremony of Supreme Court Advocates

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Thursday chaired the Roll Signing ceremony of the newly enrolled 54 Advocates of the Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice congratulated Advocates on their enrolment as Advocates of the Apex Court.

"Indeed it is an important milestone in your career to be enrolled as Advocate Supreme Court. Henceforth you would be in position to share more responsibility than usual as you have been appearing before the Courts for a long period", Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali said while addressing the participants of 39th Roll Signing Ceremony of newly enrolled Advocates of Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice said, "You (Advocates) are members of a noble profession that ensures the rights of people. Therefore, you must endeavor to advance the benefits of this profession to the down trodden and marginalized people of the society by pleading their cases and providing relief to them."

Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Senior Pusine Judge was also present on the occasion. Attorney General for Pakistan Ashtar Ali Ausaf, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Dr. Farogh Naseem, President Supreme Court Bar Association Br. Ali Zafar, President Islamabad High Court Bar Association Tariq Jehangiri, senior lawyers and law officers attended the ceremony.
