NEW DELHI - Indian Cricket team especially skipper Kohli comes under terror threat, Indian media has reported.

Indian Police have been instructed to raise the security of the Indian cricket team after an anonymous letter was received by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) which claimed that the national team, particularly captain Virat Kohli, were in danger of being targeted; sources told the Hindustan Times link on Tuesday.

India’s cricket team is currently scheduled to participate in three-match Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) series against Bangladesh followed by a two-match Test series.

The first T20I will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.

As per Delhi Police sources, the letter contains a list which also includes the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Lal Krishna Advani, BJP working President J.P. Nadda and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat.
