Gwadar University established for Baluch Youth

QUETTA (APP): Chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Water and Power and Senior Vice President, Pakistan Muslim League-N, Senator, Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar has said that steps were being taken to establish a university in port town of Gwadar, adding that Gwadar is going to become an international industrial town.

In an interview with APP, here on Tuesday, he said that transportation of Chinese goods from Kashghar to Gwadar through Balochistan has proved that law & order situation has improved in the region. "The passing of Chinese containers through Balochistan to reach Gwadar has provided evidence that law and order has been restored in this province," he said.

He said that the federal government has been taking measures to establish a university and vocational institute in port town of Gwadar for imparting higher and standard education to youth of Balochistan.

He said that implementation of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) would open new doors of progress and prosperity on Balochistan. "CPEC will bring prosperity not only for Pakistan but for the entire region," he said.

"CPEC is being connected with neighboring countries to facilitate them to export their trade items through Gwadar," he said, adding that it would generate income for Pakistan.

He said that thousands of jobless youth of Balochistan would be provided employment through CPEC, Gwadar Deep Sea Port and other mega projects being executed through Pak-China joint adventure.
