Revised code of conduct released by administrative body of Punjab University on Wednesday bars entrance of all notable figures belonging to political, social and religious bodies.
The revised laws bound parents to provide a written statement, asserting their children’s non-involvement in political and other clash-provoking affairs.
Heads of departments are now bound to forward details of clash-prone students to the administration.
Students have been barred from raising slogans and organising events without due permission. No resident student will now be permitted to have his or her guests stay in the hostel.
The administration has warned the students of stern action in case of any violation.
The revision of the code has come in a week after a student body clashed with Pashtun students who had organised an event over a traditional celebration.
