Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah sets a new World Record in Cricket history

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi set a new World record during the ongoing 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup match against Afghanistan in Leeds.

Shaheen, who is only 19-year-old, registered figures of 4-47 and in doing so he became the first teenager in the Cricket World Cup history to take four wickets in a match.

It must be noted that Shaheen also impressed with the ball, during Pakistan’s previous match against New Zealand, when his 10-over spell, where he registered figures of 3-28, was the most economical spell by a Pakistani bowler in the past 5 World Cups.

The left-arm pacer’s bowling helped Pakistan restrict Afghanistan to 227-9 in their allotted 50 overs, after Gulbadin Naib won the toss and decided to bat first.
