Former Pakistan Skipper Shahid Afridi to join politics
ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Friday hinted to join politics in future while speaking in ARY’s exclusive World Cup 2019 show Har Lamha Purjosh.
Replying to a question of making his own party, Afridi said he has no such plans, however there are fifty percent chances to make his political debut but he cannot give any official statement yet.
The hard-hitting batsman also praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s untiring efforts in politics after retiring from cricket. He further said it’s too early to comment on current Government’s performance.
Talking about grouping against Younis Khan back in 2009, Afridi said that he was not against Younis or his captaincy at all, however the players were having problems with Younis and they approached the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ejaz Butt.
