PM Imran Khan to give three years extension to COAS General Bajwa?

Lahore: Senior investigative journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti on Monday revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has decided to offer three-year extension to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The senior journalist made aforementioned revelation in the programme ‘Khabar Hai’.
“It is being expected that decision in this regard will be taken either in the last week of August [2019] or in the first week of September [2019]. The premier has conveyed his wishes of granting extension to the army chief”, added Mr. Bhatti.

“During his Pentagon visit, COAS Bajwa held four highly important meetings with top brass of the US military on Afghanistan reconciliation process”, stated the senior anchorperson.
Mr. Bhatti added, “Sources privy to development have revealed that a high-level delegation of Afghan Taliban will call on PM Khan soon. However, this news has not been verified as yet.”
Moving to country’s evolving political landscape, senior anchorperson Qazi Saeed stated that joint opposition was giving hints of launching a series of onslaughts on state-institutions.
Replying to host’s question, senior journalist Tahir Malik stated that JUI-F president ‘Maulana Fazlur Rehman holds PhD in power politics’. Mr. Malik added that JUI-F chief has mastered art of relevance.
To Qazi Saeed’s question on conditions tabled by Fazlur Rehman before Bilawal and Nawaz Sharif, Mr. Bhatti replied that JUI-F chief was seeking guarantee that both PPP and PML-N would resign from the assemblies.
“Maulana saab is playing on both sides. He is demanding three federal ministries and government of Balochistan”, revealed Mr. Bhatti.
