Afghan Army soldier reaches back home after being treated at CMH

RAWALPINDI: (APP) Afghan soldier Naik Haider who was discharged from CMH Peshawar has returned to Afghanistan through Torkham in Khyber Agency.

According to ISPR here on Friday, the Afghan soldier had fallen sick while performing duty at a post opposite to Pakistani post at Nawa Pass Bajaur Agency on July 26 and he had requested for providing medical assistance.

Upon which, he was initially evacuated to the agency hospital and later on to CMH Peshawar where he underwent a surgical operation for appendicitis.

He was provided free and best medical treatment on humanitarian ground .

Following recovery from the ailment, the soldier returned to his home along with his attendant.

He has thanked Government of Pakistan and Army for providing him much needed medical treatment promptly.
