Dr Asim appointed Sindh HEC chairman

KARACHI: Exercising special authority, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has on Monday appointed Dr Asim Hussain as the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman.
The notification was issued by the Sindh chief secretary which stated that the appointment was made under the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC) Act, 2013.
Dr Asim Hussain had the charge of the Chairman Sindh Higher Education Commission when he was arrested by Rangers for facilitating terrorists and over alleged involvement in corrupt practices.
On the other hand, the universities have announced total strike against the appointment of Dr Asim Hussain from tomorrow.
