Customs officials confiscate smuggled phones worth millions at airport

GWADAR: (APP) The staff of Pakistan Customs , posted at Turbat International Airport, Saturday seized smuggled mobile phone sets and other foreign goods worth Rs. 6 million.

The Customs authorities said that 548 pieces of costly phone sets and other items were confiscated from three suitcases during checking of cargo, at baggage hall of Turbat Airport.

No one came forward to claim the ownership of the mobile phones , they added.

A case under Customs laws has been lodged and efforts are being made to arrest culprits, the Customs authorities added.
