New developments reported over the NAB Amendment Ordinance 2019

ISLAMABAD - After the approval of NAB Amendment Ordinance, several cases under hearing in different accountability courts are likely to be transferred to other courts.

According to officials, many cases against political figures and bureaucrats are likely to be transferred to Crime, Smuggling and Banking Courts.

Reportedly, NAB Amendment Ordinance will benefit political figures, bureaucrats along with governmental ministers and opposition members.

PTI’s Pervez Khattak, Aleem Khan and Zulfi Bukhari are said to get benefit out of the ordinance along with opposition’s Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja saad Rafique and Yousaf Raza Gillani.

Bureaucrats including Sheikh Imran-ul-Haq, Fawad Hassan Fawad and Ahad Cheema will be among the beneficiaries.

The federal cabinet on Friday gave its approval to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 2019 which was later sent to the President Arif Alvi for his assent.
