Multan: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that NAB Amendment Ordinance was not aimed at providing National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) or relief to anybody.
While talking to media in Multan today, he said that the revision of the NAB ordinance was demanded by the opposition parties including PML-N and PPP. He added that the ordinance was not approved to protect corrupt people.
Criticizing the Narendra Modi led government in India, he said that the whole international media community is bashing India for its discriminatory law.
“India appears to be divided into secular and extremist ideologies under the existing Modi government. Ever since the controversial Citizenship Amendment Law has been approved, all minorities and educated Hindus are protesting against the discriminatory law,” he said.
He further stated that there are continuous protests occurring within the country and 25 people have so far been killed in the current tensions in India.
Speaking on the issue of Kashmir, he said that there is complete curfew and communication blackout in the valley since past five months.
“They can lock Kashmir but they cannot put the entire India under curfew. The world has now seen the real face of India,” he said.
Shah Mahmood said India has been carrying out ceasefire violations along Line of Control (LoC).
