Pakistan makes an offer to Malaysian businessmen

ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan has invited Malaysian businessmen to take advantage of favorable business climate in Pakistan and invest in energy sector.

He was talking to High Commissioner of Malaysia Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim, who along with a delegation of Malaysian businessmen, called on him in Islamabad today.

The Minister informed the delegation that Pakistan's energy sector is offering very good return on investment in various fields.

He said government is also taking concrete steps towards easing the procedure for business communities.

Omar Ayub Khan apprised the delegation that energy sector is introducing state of the art technologies, besides streamlining the fiscal discipline that has further boosted the confidence of investors.

He specially mentioned the AMI project that is being executed in Power Distribution Companies.

The High Commissioner informed the Minister that Malaysian Petroleum Company PETRONAS is keen in investing in Pakistan in the oil and gas sector, especially the LNG business.
