PM Imran Khan to reshuffle Pakistani trade officers across the World for trade promotion

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that promoting trade and facilitating business community are among the priority areas of the government. He said this while chairing a meeting about functioning of Ministry of Commerce in Islamabad today (Wednesday). The Prime Minister observed that there is a need to review the criteria for appointment and assessing the performance of the trade officers abroad so as to ensure that business community is properly facilitated. Imran Khan directed that a comprehensive strategy should be worked out to check corrupt practices of illegal money transfers (hundi) and smuggling which are adversely affecting the national economy.
