Textile Asia 2016 Exhibition: Chinese companies receive overwhelming response

LAHORE: (APP) Chinese companies received very good response from customers during the first two days of the Textile Asia 2016 Trade Exhibition, being held at Expo Centre from August 27 to 29.
This was observed by Hu Chen, assistant president, Jiangsu New International Convention and Exhibition (JSNICE), while talking to APP here on Sunday.
The JSNICE is the company organising the visit of Chinese investors from Jiangsu province of China to the exhibition.
"Chinese companies received many orders and signed several agreements with the customers in business-to-business meetings even at the start of the event," he added.
"We have organised several exhibitions in different countries including United States, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Srilanka but the welcome received from Pakistan is really different," he added.
He said Pakistan's textile was an attractive sector for the Chinese and other foreign investors.
He said that Pakistan produces the best cotton; it has highly skilled professional in the textile sector, cheap labour and friendly working environment for the foreigners.
"We Chinese enjoy very good working environment in Pakistan because of close friendship between both the countries. And that is the reason more and more Chinese are being attracted towards Pakistani market," he added.
To a question, he said that there are misconceptions among foreigners about security situation of Pakistan but actual situation is different.
"Before coming here my knowledge about security situation of Pakistan was just based on some media reports but when I came here I felt the country is very safe for the foreign investors. We Chinese enjoy special privileges here," he added.
Hu said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is one of the best models of win-win situation for any two countries of the world.
