UN General Assembly President appreciates BRI as an example of effective int'l cooperation

UN General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces has appreciated Belt and Road Initiative as an example of effective international cooperation for sustainable development.
In an interview, Espinosa said BRI also provides a powerful platform for economic growth and large-scale regional cooperation which is necessary to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
Speaking of its contribution to Paris Agreement, Espinosa said that a low-carbon and 'green' BRI could also make a vital contribution towards environmental and climate change targets of the 2030 Agenda.
