ISLAMABAD – The accountability court on Thursday ordered the former prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to appear during the next hearing scheduled for October 2 under any condition.
In its written order, the court ordered the former PM to make sure that he appears before the court on October 2.
The orders maintained that Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan and Hussain didn’t appear before the court despite receiving the court’s summons and the arrest warrants were issued due to their absence from the court.
The court further said that media personnel were tortured upon Nawaz Sharif’s previous appearance by security officials on September 26, due to which it was impossible to continue with the hearing.
